In Donetsk region, 280 workers were trapped underground due to a mine blackout; restrictions on consumers are applied due to russian shelling
POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Due to massive russian shelling, the power system is experiencing a capacity shortage. Yesterday, to partially cover it, Ukraine additionally engaged emergency assistance from the power systems of Poland and Slovakia.
Today, the hourly outage schedules are applied from 0:00 to 24:00.
The main reason for the restrictions is the enemy’s attacks on the energy infrastructure and the negative consequences of these attacks.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
In Chernihiv region, a Shahed attack on one of the energy facilities resulted in a power outage for household consumers and agricultural enterprises. At the same time, almost 6,000 consumers lost power.
In Kharkiv region, an overhead power line of a regional power company was disconnected during the shelling. As a result, the substation and the household consumers connected to it lost power. All consumers have been supplied with electricity.
In Donetsk region, equipment at a power company substation was disconnected due to hostilities. As a result, household consumers and the high-voltage substation’s own needs were cut off.
EMERGENCIES
A mine in Donetsk region lost power. There were 280 workers underground. They were brought to the surface. The mine is now powered.
A 40-year-old mining foreman was killed at a mine in Kirovohrad region due to a rock fall.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE WEATHER
The weather caused power outages in 58 settlements. Of these, 48 are in Khmelnytskyi region and 10 are in Ternopil region.
STATE OF THE GRID
In Zhytomyr region, an overhead power line of a regional power company was disconnected due to damage to equipment at a substation. This caused disruptions in train traffic. The overhead line has been brought back online.
In Vinnytsia region, the overhead line was disconnected for technological reasons, and household consumers lost power. Everyone has been supplied with power.
An overhead line of a regional power company was disconnected in Dnipropetrovsk region. At the same time, one of the generation facilities briefly reduced its output.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased to 15.05 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 35,212 MWh. No exports are expected.
