    More than 300,000 consumers in 14 regions cut off from electricity due to bad weather

    Consequences of the bad weather

    Due to adverse weather conditions, 1,045 settlements in 14 regions – Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv – lost power. In total, 306,000 consumers were left without electricity.

    Most of them were in Khmelnytsky region, where 400 settlements were cut off.

    The 750 kV interconnection line with Hungary and 750 kV overhead power line were also out of service in the region.

    Restoration works are underway.

    Power generation

    The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the consumer demand.

    Situation in the frontline areas

    The shelling in Donetsk region has cut power to 25 settlements. Some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power. Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.

    Situation in the regions

    As a result of technological disruptions, consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, and Sumy regions are without power.

    Consequences of the Kakhovka HPP dam blow-up

    In Kherson, 1,200 consumers remain without power after flooding. Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.

    Situation at the ZNPP

    The water level in the ZNPP cooling pond remains stable at 15.69 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
