No electricity shortage is registered, mine has been cut off from power as a result of shelling in Donetsk region.
GENERATION AND CONSUMPTION
There is no electricity shortage in the power system. Domestic generation is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. Commercial electricity imports are also planned.
A thermal power plant unit was shut down for an emergency, and was brought back in operation in half an hour. There are three units and two facilities of thermal power plants in reserve, which will be connected to the grid if necessary.
The system is balanced. No stabilisation outage schedules are applied.
We remind you that it is vital to reduce the load on the power system during peak consumption hours (on weekends from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00). The Ministry of Energy urges you to postpone the use of energy-intensive appliances to another time.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
As a result of the hostilities, 110 kV lines and a substation in Donetsk region were de-energised, leaving the mine and household consumers without power.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 4,000 MWh, while exports are not expected.
