No electricity shortage in the system, generation is sufficient to meet consumer demand
Power generation and consumption
There is no shortage of electricity in the system and none is expected for today. Electricity generation is sufficient to meet consumer demand.
One thermal unit has been taken out of service for short-term emergency repairs. Also yesterday, during the bad weather in Odesa region, power generation at one of the wind farms was limited to prevent overloading of the overhead line.
These situations did not affect the stability of the electricity supply, as the electricity produced by all generating units is sufficient to meet demand.
No electricity restrictions were imposed in any region. All the outages were due to bad weather, technical problems or hostilities.
The situation is under control. The electricity system is balanced.
State of the grid
Two 330 kV lines of NPC Ukrenergo in Odesa region, which were disconnected due to adverse weather conditions, have been restored. Work on restoring the grid is ongoing. A 330 kV line at one of the thermal power plants was also reconnected.
Consequences of shelling
Three coal mines that were damaged by shelling have been re-energised. 70 trapped miners have been brought to the surface.
One municipality in Kharkiv region was shelled, so electricity networks are being checked.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the ZNPP cooling pond remains at 15.67 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
Import/export
Imports over the past day amounted to 716 MWh, and no exports were made.
