Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, posted 27 May 2024 10:23

Electricity supply restrictions for households and industry in place; gas supply restored to 1,300 customers in Vinnytsia region who were disconnected after an enemy attack

    POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION

Yesterday, the needs of consumers were covered by domestic generation and commercial imports. Also yesterday, during the daytime, Ukraine provided emergency assistance to Poland, receiving surplus electricity from its power system.

Yesterday, after scheduled repairs, a nuclear unit at a nuclear power plant was connected to the grid. It is currently gaining capacity. Several more nuclear units are being prepared for repair. This is necessary to prepare the units for stable and uninterrupted operation during the heating season.

Today, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., electricity supply restrictions are being applied in all regions for household and industrial consumers.

To reduce their duration, we urge consumers to use electricity responsibly. In turn, power engineers are doing everything possible to carry out emergency repairs at energy infrastructure facilities damaged by russian massive attacks as soon as possible.

    CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING

Gas companies have restored gas supply to 1,290 customers in Zhmerynka (Vinnytsia region), which was interrupted due to the fall of the wreckage of a downed shahed. There are still 17 consumers without gas supply.

    STATE OF THE GRID

Yesterday, a high-voltage overhead power line was briefly out of service in Kyiv region. The estimated location of the damage is a section that passes through the territory of belarus. The line is currently in operation.

    SITUATION AT ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond is decreasing. It is currently 15.26 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.

    IMPORT/EXPORT

For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 16,258 MWh. No exports are expected.
