Power generation and consumption
As air temperatures decrease, electricity consumption grows. The maximum load was recorded at 17:30 yesterday.
All generating facilities are operating at maximum capacity to meet the needs of consumers and industry.
Nine nuclear units are in operation. Also yesterday, 4 thermal power units in different regions came out of short-term repairs. Three units of thermal generation equipment are in reserve. The total increase in thermal generation over the day is over 700 MW.
As of this morning, the power system is balanced. The situation is under control.
During the evening consumption peak, there is a possibility of importing electricity to cover a possible shortfall.
Consequences of the shelling
A 330 kV overhead line was damaged in Vinnytsia region as a result of a drone falling debris. The line does not require emergency repairs.
In Kharkiv region, three power lines were damaged in the last 24 hours as a result of hostilities. A total of 17,200 customers remain without power. Work is underway with the involvement of deminers and special equipment.
In Zaporizhzhia region, 62 settlements remain without power supply due to hostilities, affecting almost 26,000 customers.
Situation in the regions
The enemy continues to attack energy infrastructure in the regions. In addition, bad weather creates additional problems. At the same time, no scheduled power cuts are planned for household consumers.
Due to the weather and hostilities, 413 settlements are without power.
In Dnipropetrovsk region, 4 power lines were disconnected due to the hostilities, leaving 1,200 customers without electricity. By the morning, all customers were supplied with power.
In addition, due to technical issues, customers in Dnipro were disconnected from gas supply.
In Kherson, 746 customers remain disconnected following the flooding caused by the Kakhovka HPP dam explosion, and more than 42,000 customers are affected by the hostilities.
In Kherson region, 48 settlements and 27,200 consumers are cut off due to hostilities.
In Donetsk region, 6 settlements (6,800 customers) were cut off from electricity supply due to hostilities over the day. Power engineers restored electricity to 3 settlements and supplied power to more than 6,000 consumers. 113 settlements remain without power supply.
In Zaporizhzhia region, 4 settlements (5,400 consumers) were disconnected for technological reasons overnight. In the morning, power engineers returned electricity to 3 settlements.
As a result of adverse weather conditions, 5 settlements in Chernihiv region (over 600 customers) were cut off from electricity supply. Work is underway to restore power supply. As a result of the hostilities, 10 settlements remain without power completely and 7 – partially.
Overall, the situation in the power system is stable and under control.
Situation at the ZNPP
A slight decrease in the water level in the ZNPP cooling pond is recorded – it is now at 15.66 m. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.
Import/export
Over the past day, electricity imports totalled 2,707 MWh, while exports amounted to 720 MWh.
