A power unit of a thermal power plant in Donetsk region has been shut down, there is no electricity shortage in the power system
Power generation and consumption
The enemy continues to shell the country’s energy facilities. A thermal power plant in the east was shelled several times yesterday. The equipment was heavily damaged, making it impossible to resume operation of one of the power units that was shut down earlier.
This situation has not yet affected the stability of electricity supply. No deficit has been recorded. The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. Commercial electricity imports are also planned. The situation is under control. No blackout schedules are applied.
State of the grid
For technical reasons, a 330 kV overhead line in Dnipropetrovsk region was out of service. The line is back online, and there are no de-energised consumers.
High-voltage lines in Mykolaiv region were also out of service. Wind power generation facilities were temporarily cut off.
Consequences of the shelling
Six mines in Donetsk region lost power due to damage to overhead lines (363 people were brought to the surface).
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.64 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
Import/export
Electricity imports for the current day amounted to 3,981 MWh. No exports were made.
