No electricity shortage; more than 9,000 consumers were left without electricity in Dnipropetrovsk region due to bad weather
Power generation
Yesterday, equipment at one of the thermal power plants was shut down. The station was unloaded with no disruption to its own needs, and later it was brought back online.
There is no electricity shortage. Electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. Commercial imports and exports are also planned.
The situation is under control. The system is balanced. No blackout schedules are applied.
Consequences of bad weather
Due to adverse weather conditions, more than 9,000 consumers in Dnipropetrovsk region lost power. As of this morning, almost all of them have been supplied with power, while about 100 customers remain without electricity.
State of the grid
Yesterday, a 220 kV overhead power line had an emergency outage in Zakarpattia region. No consumers were cut off.
Situation at ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.52 metres. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.
Import/export
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 4,851 MWh. Exports are also planned – up to 1,838 MWh.
