Situation in energy system on 17 January
No electricity shortage, two TPP units reconnected to the grid
Power generation and consumption
No electricity deficit was recorded yesterday. Electricity generated in Ukraine is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. Commercial electricity imports are also planned.
Two units of generating equipment were put out of service for emergency repairs. At the same time, 2 TPP units were brought back into operation after a short-term repair. The situation is under control. No restriction schedules are applied.
State of the grid
Due to technical problems at a 330 kV substation of NPC Ukrenergo in Dnipropetrovsk region, household consumers, the railway ( without any disruption of train traffic), a mine, and local industry lost power. All consumers have been reconnected.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.62 metres. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.
Import/export
Electricity imports for the current day amount to 3,764 MWh. No exports are planned.
