Due to the lack of capacity after the russian shelling, restrictions were imposed on industrial consumers and emergency blackouts were introduced for household consumers; sparing electricity consumption is important
POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Yesterday, the needs of consumers were covered by domestic generation, commercial imports and emergency assistance from the power systems of Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
Also yesterday, during the daytime, Ukraine provided emergency assistance to Poland, receiving surplus electricity from the country’s power system.
Today, at Ukraine’s request, emergency electricity supplies have already been made from Poland, Romania and Slovakia. Emergency assistance will be provided throughout the day.
From 16:00 to 7:00, restrictions on industrial consumers were applied in all regions except Kherson region. Today, power restrictions for industry will be applied throughout the day.
Last night, emergency blackouts were introduced in all regions of Ukraine. The reason for this was a significant shortage of capacity in the power grid following the russian attacks, as well as an increase in electricity consumption due to the cold weather.
This morning, emergency blackouts were introduced due to the shortage.
NETWORK STATUS
Yesterday, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected in the southern region for technological reasons. It is now back online.
