No electricity shortage, reserve generation capacity in place, imports and exports planned

    Power generation and consumption

There is no deficit in the power system of Ukraine. Domestic generation is sufficient to cover consumer needs, and commercial imports and exports of electricity are planned. During the day, two thermal power plant blocks were taken out of service for short-term repairs, the issues were resolved and they were brought back online.

There are seven thermal power units in reserve to be used if necessary.

The situation is under control. The system is balanced. No outage schedules are applied.

    Consequences of shelling, terroristic activities

For two days in a row, there were reports of a possible bomb threat on the territory of UkrNDIGas Institute in Ivano-Frankivsk. The employees of the branch had to leave the site for the period of the inspection.

Restoration work continues in Dnipropetrovsk region after the previous day’s shelling of an energy facility. Electricity supply to consumers is stable.

    Situation at the ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond remains stable at 15.59 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.

    Import/export

For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 776 MWh. It is also planned to export up to 1,923 MWh to Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova.
