As a result of shelling of gas transmission system facilities, 13,500 consumers are left without gas; the electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers
Consequences of shelling
Following the enemy’s attacks on gas distribution stations in Kharkiv region on the night of 12 October, gas supply to 13,500 households was cut off. Emergency repairs are underway.
Power generation
The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is fully sufficient to meet the needs of consumers.
Power engineers continue to prepare the power system for the heating season, which will take place in the face of russian attacks. A large-scale repair campaign is underway at thermal, hydro and nuclear generation facilities.
Situation in the frontline regions
The occupiers continue to terrorise the frontline and border areas. As a result of the shelling, 52 settlements in Donetsk region and 4 settlements in Mykolaiv region lost power. Some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power.
Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.
In total, over 20,000 consumers have been reconnected over the past day. Most of them are customers in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
Situation in the regions
Due to adverse weather conditions, 4 settlements in Chernihiv region are without power. In addition, consumers in Sumy region were cut off due to technical failures.
Consequences of the Kakhovka HPP dam blow-up
In Kherson, 1,700 consumers remain without power after the flooding. Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the ZNPP cooling pond remains stable at 15.74 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
Exports/imports
Commercial electricity imports totalled 66.00 MWh over the past day. Exports to Slovakia and Moldova totalled 4,711.00 MWh.
