Another NPP unit (415 MW) was repaired ahead of schedule; the electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers

    Power generation

Another nuclear power generation unit came out of repair ahead of schedule. It will add an additional 415 MW of capacity to the grid.

The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. A large-scale repair campaign is underway at thermal, hydro and nuclear generation facilities.

Power engineers continue to prepare the energy system for the heating season, which will take place in the face of russian attacks.

    Situation in the frontline areas

The shelling has cut power to 8,500 consumers in Donetsk region and more than 4,000 in Dnipropetrovsk region. Some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power.

Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.

    State of the grids

Yesterday, the 330 kV overhead line of the transmission system operator Ukrenergo was disconnected for protective reasons in Kharkiv region. Consumers were not cut off from electricity supply.

    Situation in the regions

A 110 kV overhead line of a distribution system operator was disconnected in Odesa region. As a result, 4,000 consumers lost power. In addition, 7,000 consumers were left without power in Dnipropetrovsk region due to technological disruptions. All of them have now been reconnected.

Consequences of the Kakhovka HPP dam blow-up

In Kherson, 1,700 consumers remain without power after the flooding. Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.

    Situation at the ZNPP

There is a slight decrease in the water level in the cooling pond. It is currently at 15.75 metres. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.

    Exports/imports

Commercial electricity imports totalled 907.00 MWh over the past day. Exports to Slovakia and Moldova totalled 1,612.00 MWh.
