  • Situation in energy system as of January 11
Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, posted 11 January 2024 11:08

No electricity shortages were recorded, two mines were de-energised as a result of shelling

As of 9:00 a.m., no shortage of electricity has been recorded in the power system. Domestic generation is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers, and electricity imports are planned for the current day. In case of an increase in the load on the system, appropriate tools will be used. The system is balanced.

The situation is under control. No blackout schedules are applied.

    Please consume electricity responsibly!

Remember that it is critical to reduce the load on the power system during peak consumption hours (from 10:00 to 12:00 a.m. and from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.). The Ministry of Energy urges consumers to reduce the consumption of energy-intensive appliances during this period.

Throughout the day, high-voltage power lines in Donetsk region came under fire repeatedly. As a result, household consumers and two mines lost power. 5 workers were brought to the surface.

A high-voltage line in Kryvyi Rih was disconnected due to equipment damage. Residential consumers and part of the water utility lost power, which resulted in disruptions in the operation of boiler houses in Kryvyi Rih, with heating supply being restored. The railway was also cut off for a short time, causing disruption to train traffic.

Consumers have been partially supplied with electricity, while household consumers remain without electricity.

For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 4999 MWh, while exports are not expected.

The water level in the cooling pond is 15.62 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
