Restrictions on consumers due to massive russian shelling; new blackouts in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions
POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
The situation in the power system remains difficult. Due to massive russian shelling, there is a significant capacity shortage. To partially cover it, Ukraine received surplus electricity from Poland’s power system at the request of Poland yesterday.
Today, the hourly outage schedules are applied from 0:00 to 24:00. If the situation changes, the information will be updated here.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
The shelling caused new blackouts in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
In total, customers in 7 regions are without electricity due to hostilities.
In the eastern region, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected as a result of hostile shelling. The inspection revealed a broken wire and a broken lightning rod.
STATE OF THE GRID
In the western region, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected for technological reasons. The cause was a capacitor fire at one of the high-voltage substations. The State Emergency Service was called and the fire was extinguished. The line was put under emergency repair.
EMERGENCIES
A 54-year-old employee of a contractor company was killed while working at height at one of the energy facilities in Poltava region. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased to 15.06 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 28,159 MWh. No exports are expected.
