The World Bank will continue to support Ukraine through both existing and new projects: Prime Minister
On April 25, on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings in Washington DC, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with World Bank Group President Ajay Banga to discuss the implementation of joint projects that are already being implemented. The Head of the Ukrainian Government emphasized the importance of providing Ukraine with more than USD 3.5 billion in March and April of this year under the PEACE initiative.
“This is the largest investment project in the history of the World Bank with a volume of more than USD 50 billion,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
The meeting's participants also focused on launching new programs, attracting funding for 2026 and further support in implementing reforms.
“We appreciate the World Bank's assistance in the restoration of Ukraine, in particular the work on the reconstruction needs assessment,” the Prime Minister said.
