To increase the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, the Government is working to create an Agrarian Register. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal told in his opening statement at a government meeting on August 18.
"This is a new level of relations between the state and the agricultural producer, based on the principles of transparency, convenience and accessibility. Today we will approve the redistribution of funds for the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to ensure the financing of measures to create the State Agrarian Register," said the Head of Government.
According to Denys Shmyhal, due to the implementation of the single window principle within the agricultural register, it will be much easier to obtain services and various state support programs.
"Apart from that, thanks to the register, it is planned to simplify access to bank financing. That is, the agrarian register accumulates the most popular services among agricultural producers and, most importantly, diminishes the role of official," the Prime Minister added.
The Prime Minister also noted that grain and legume harvesting continues in Ukraine and this year there is expected record yields as compared to previous years.
"More than 29 million tons of wheat have already been threshed. Relevant figures show that before the end of the season, we have already received 4 million tons more than last year," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
