Strategic Investment Council approves priority directions for recovery: Denys Shmyhal

On 29 November, the 6th meeting of the Strategic Investment Council was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

The Council members considered proposals regarding the main areas of recovery, on the basis of which investment priorities for the next year are determined.

According to the Head of Government, the meeting's participants approved the following priority areas of recovery:

- social sector (housing reconstruction, education and science, healthcare, social protection);

- infrastructure reconstruction (energy, including protection of energy facilities, transport, water supply and sewerage);

- demining and civil protection (including the construction of shelters infrastructure based on the Finnish model).

"The identified investment priorities for 2025 will be monitored within the Ukrainian Donor Platform," said Denys Shmyhal.

In addition, the Council members discussed a reserve list of investment projects under the grant agreement with the French Government to help restore and support critical infrastructure and priority sectors of Ukraine's economy. The list will be submitted to the French partners.
