Social services for certain categories of IDPs: Government supports pilot project
The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to implement a pilot project to provide certain social services to the most vulnerable categories of citizens. These are people who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances due to hostilities or temporary occupation.
Social services will be provided in healthcare facilities that are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Social Policy. In particular, these institutions include some sanatoriums in Truskavets and Myrhorod.
The pilot project envisages 4 social services:
- shelter provision,
- supported accommodation,
- inpatient care,
- social adaptation.
These services will be provided free of charge to elderly people and people with disabilities from among the internally displaced persons. Thus, the most vulnerable citizens will be guaranteed not only shelter, but also social support based on individual needs.
