Today, on June 22, during his visit to London for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko met with Vice President of the European Investment Bank Teresa Czerwińska.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Olga Zykova.
The parties discussed the implementation of the joint project portfolio, as well as possible areas for expanding cooperation.
“As of today, the portfolio of joint investment projects between Ukraine and the EIB amounts to 25 projects totalling EUR 5.2 billion. At the same time, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received about USD 1.7 billion in budget support from the EIB. Thank you for understanding Ukraine’s problems and promptly making constructive decisions that allow us to meet the priority needs of Ukrainian society,” said Sergii Marchenko.
At the same time, EUR 2.7 billion of the joint project portfolio remains unused. The parties discussed possible ways to effectively utilize the current resources.
Today, the Ministry of Finance is also actively cooperating with the EIB to use EUR 600 million in 2023 to restore critical infrastructure damaged by the armed aggression of russia.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand further cooperation, in particular in overcoming the consequences of the full-scale armed aggression of russia.
