Sergii Koretskyi discusses Ukraine's financial needs for 2026–2027 with EBRD leadership

Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi discussed Ukraine's financial needs for 2026–2027 with EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso and the Bank's senior management.

"One of the key topics of the conversation was energy. We are working with the EBRD to improve the operation of the electricity balancing market, accelerate the implementation of energy projects, and strengthen the Bank's cooperation with state-owned companies," the Head of Government said.

The parties also discussed measures to support the renewal of Ukrzaliznytsia's rolling stock and the development of key transport corridors.

Separately, Sergii Koretskyi presented the war risk insurance mechanism: "The draft State Budget for 2027 allocates USD 1 billion for this purpose. We are counting on the EBRD's support for this initiative."

The Prime Minister thanked Odile Renaud-Basso and the EBRD team for their unwavering support of Ukraine: "Since the start of the full-scale war, the Bank has channeled over EUR 10.5 billion in support of our country."
