Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi tasked the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance with preparing a mechanism for state support of the publishing sector.
The Head of Government emphasized that russia is systematically targeting Ukrainian publishing sector. russian forces constantly attack printing houses, publishing houses, and book warehouses. In July alone, 1.5 million copies of Ukrainian books were destroyed, with damages amounting to hundreds of millions of hryvnias.

“Despite the constraints on our budget, the Government will find a way to support Ukrainian publishers. We must help them restore operations, replenish public library collections, and preserve the strength of Ukraine's publishing industry,” stressed Sergii Koretskyi.

He recalled that during the July 19 attack, one printing house lost its production facilities and more than 400,000 school textbooks. Other enterprises in the sector also sustained significant damage.
