  • Serhii Shkarlet is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan

    On November 22, 2021, Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet together with the presidents of higher education institutions of Ukraine is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    Today Serhii Shkarlet has already met with the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Abdukodir Toshkulov, as well as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Sports, Rector of the International University of Tourism "Silk Road" Mr. Aziz Abdukhakimov.

    The Minister discussed further opportunities for international cooperation in the field of education and science with Mr. Abdukodir Toshkulov.

    "Our experience in reforming vocational education was important for our colleagues from Uzbekistan. It is pleasant to note that Ukraine's achievements are sought to be followed and implemented in other countries. The establishment of the Presidential University in Ukraine has become one of the important issues discussed during the visit, as a similar project is being implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main purpose of such measures is to introduce quality training at a new level," said Serhii Shkarlet.

    The participants of the meeting considered the issues of integration into education, exchange of teachers and implementation of scientific research between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

    During the meeting, the development of student tourism was considered as an important tool for the formation of personality having a positive impact on the formation of competitive professionals.

    "The Republic of Uzbekistan is a strategic partner in attracting students and promoting higher education institutions of Ukraine. The country is interested in opening branches of Ukrainian universities, as well as creating joint programs that will promote the economic development of both countries," said Serhii Shkarlet.
