During his working trip to France, Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet met with representatives of the Normandy authorities and the French-Ukrainian cultural center, who told about the education and support provided to Ukrainian students.

The Minister was also informed that in early June, a thematic day devoted to Ukraine was held in the city of Domfront. During the event, the organizers drew the attention of local residents to the difficulties faced by Ukrainians in connection with the military invasion of the russian federation, and also collected funds to support Ukrainian children and families.

The funds collected during the event were transferred to the French-Ukrainian cultural center of Normandy for further allocation to the educational needs of Ukrainian students. Currently, there are more than 800 Ukrainian children in the region.

The Minister thanked the authorities of Normandy for their willingness to participate in the restoration of Ukraine and their support.

As was reported, Serhii Shkarlet told about the support of foreign partners of the Ukrainian scientific community.
