Sanctions counteroffensive: Government struck a blow against rosatom and russian pseudo-education
At its session on September 2, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions on submitting to the NSDC for consideration proposals regarding the imposition of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).
So, in particular, the Government proposed that the NSDC considers the application of sanctions against the russian state corporation rosatom, as one of the key economic entities of the russian economy and levers of influence and pressure in matters of foreign policy of the aggressor state. And also against more than 350 legal entities related to it. We are talking about enterprises and organizations that are part of rosatom and their subsidiaries, which are located both on the territory of the aggressor state and outside its borders.
By the same decision, it was decided to submit proposals for consideration by the NSDC in order to approve sanctions against natural persons who are managers of the state corporation rosatom, its enterprises, organizations and subsidiaries, which are responsible for the implementation of the policy of the russian federation against Ukraine and are directly involved in decision-making and committing of acts of nuclear terrorism on the territory of Ukraine. There are also more than 350 such persons in the list proposed to be submitted to the NSDC.
Proposals regarding the specified sanctions measures, in particular against rosatom, were previously considered and recommended for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers by the newly created Interdepartmental Working Group on the Implementation of State Sanctions Policy under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.
"The decisions endorsed by the Government today are a vivid example of the intensification of Ukraine's efforts on the sanctions front. A few days ago, there has started its work an Interdepartmental Working Group designed to strengthen the effectiveness of existing and speed up the adoption of new sanctions against persons involved in aggression. Coordination between ministries, departments, and organizations involved in the development of sanctions will be strengthened. Decisions regarding restrictions will be made with extreme promptness and showing no mercy towards the enemies of our state," said Yulia Svyrydenko.
In addition, the Government decided to submit to the NSDC for consideration the proposals regarding the application of sanctions against individuals and legal entities involved in the illegal spread of educational standards of the russian federation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
