Ruslan Strilets, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, met with Steffi Lemke, Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany. The parties discussed preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference-2024 and the launch of the Green Recovery Platform for Ukraine on its sidelines.

According to Ruslan Strilets, this opens up many new opportunities for Ukraine's development and acceleration of European integration reforms in the environmental sector.

“We are constantly in touch with Steffi. Our priorities are unchanged: the implementation of point 8 of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula, the implementation of the provisions of the Environmental Treaty for Ukraine, and further cooperation in joint projects on industrial pollution prevention reform, climate policy development, green recovery, and the development of the nature reserve fund. I am grateful to my counterpart, Mrs. Minister, for the projects that the German Government is helping to implement in Ukraine. They bring us closer to the EU,” said Minister Ruslan Strilets.
