Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal visited a rehabilitation centre in Kyiv region where service members and veterans are recovering and being treated after being wounded.

The Head of Government, together with Minister for Veterans Affairs Nataliia Kalmykova and UN Global Advocate for persons with disabilities in conflict and peacebuilding situations Giles Duley, inspected rehabilitation halls of various functional purposes.

“Rehabilitation is one of the important stages on the way of returning Ukrainian service members from the frontline, so the development and support of this area is among the Government’s priorities. We set ourselves an ambitious goal to open modern rehabilitation centres for service members and veterans in all regions,” said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister talked to the staff and the military personnel receiving treatment. Together with the hospital management, they discussed a project to expand rehabilitation opportunities.

Denys Shmyhal awarded the defenders of Ukraine who were injured and are undergoing rehabilitation, as well as the doctors who help them in this process.
