Improving financial literacy, strengthening cybersecurity, and business digitalization: Ministry of Digital Transformation continues cooperation with partners

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and global technology company Mastercard are strengthening their partnership to enhance cyber resilience, promote the digital maturity of entrepreneurs, and implement Gov-Tech initiatives. A corresponding memorandum of understanding was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, Eastern Europe Division President at Mastercard, Yasemin Bedir, and General Manager of Mastercard for Ukraine and Moldova, Inga Andreieva.

"Mastercard is one of our key and long-standing partners. Together, we have already implemented dozens of projects that support businesses and millions of Ukrainians in their daily lives. This new memorandum marks another step in our partnership. We will work together to improve financial literacy, develop digital tools for entrepreneurs within the Diia.Business framework, scale Diia.Card, advance GovTech initiatives, and implement cybersecurity projects. I am confident that even more significant results lie ahead," said Mykhailo Fedorov.

The focus of the collaboration includes: 

- Enhancing the digital maturity of small and medium-sized enterprises and supporting Ukrainian businesses through the Diia.Business project; 

- Developing digital products, including scaling Diia.Card as a unified tool for secure payments, digital identification, and access to public services; 

- Improving financial literacy for Ukrainians and businesses through the Diia.Education portal and the Mriia app; 

- Advancing GovTech initiatives in collaboration with the Kyiv Global Government Technology Centre; 

- Launching new educational projects on cybersecurity and sharing expertise to develop the FinTech sector. 

"For many years, Mastercard has collaborated with governments worldwide, supporting their digital transformation journeys. In Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, we are systematically implementing initiatives that drive the country’s digital progress, and we are excited to embark on a new phase of our partnership. Our unwavering focus remains on developing digital financial tools for Ukrainians, supporting entrepreneurs, and enhancing the digital maturity of businesses. Additionally, we will deepen our cooperation in developing cybersecurity solutions as a strategically important area to strengthen the resilience of the financial and digital ecosystem," emphasized Inga Andreieva, General Manager of Mastercard for Ukraine and Moldova.

As part of their long-standing collaboration, Mastercard and the Ministry of Digital Transformation have implemented a range of significant initiatives to scale digital services and support small and medium-sized businesses. These include cooperation in launching and developing the Diia.Business portal, establishing offline consultation centers in Ukraine, and opening the first Diia.Business center abroad in Warsaw. Mastercard has also contributed to the development of the financial functionality of the comprehensive eEntrepreneur service, which enables entrepreneurs to access a package of financial services and tools online simultaneously with business registration. Additionally, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mastercard, and partner banks have implemented several educational and grant programs to support entrepreneurs, including "Vlasne" and "Trajectory 2."
