The Economic Development Council considered the areas of support for small and medium-sized businesses.

"Supporting small businesses during the quarantine period is an important priority of the Government's work," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

In particular, it was decided to establish an interagency working group to develop a plan of anti-crisis initiatives to support small and medium-sized businesses, including improving the efficiency of the program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%" and the development of other financial support programs. The results of the group's work should be reported to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Prime Minister.

Moreover, the participants decided to develop a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on improving the system of electronic public procurement in order to expand opportunities for participation of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as localized industries in Ukraine.

The plans of the working group include alsoto  study the possibility of introducing a mechanism for deferring the payment of value added tax by enterprises on production equipment imported from abroad or purchased in Ukraine at the stage of organizing the production process.
