Employees who obtained the reservation status before 31 May 2024 will be able to extend their reservation for the same period without any obstacles. This protocol decision was adopted at the Government meeting on 25 October on the proposal of the First Deputy Minister of Defence.

It will ensure the stable operation of strategically important sectors of the economy, including those working for defence.

At the same time, the audit of the decisions on granting the status of critical enterprises taken in the last four months will continue until 15 November. The reason for the audit is an abnormal increase in the number of critical enterprises and the number of employees. This was done in the interest of strengthening the state’s defence capability and preventing abuse.

Based on the results of the audit, the relevant ministries will determine whether there have been unfair practices and whether they are potentially corrupt. Based on these findings, the Government will update and adjust the reservation criteria so that the mechanism works to the benefit of Ukraine’s security and defence and economy.
