Ukraine sees rise in industrial production in March 2018 year-over-year. According to the data released by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in March 2018 comparing with the same period in 2017, the index of industrial products, adjusted for the effect of calendar days, amounted to 101.6%. Moreover, the extractive industry (+ 3.3%), electricity and gas supply (+ 22.8%) have ensured this growth.

In the first three months of this year as compared with the same period in 2017 the growth climbed to 2.4% due to increased production in the extractive industry, in the processing and in energy sector.

The largest increase is observed in the manufacture of wood products, chemical production and machine building. In the regional context, positive indicators have been recorded in most of regions, except for Luhansk, where there is a significant decline due to hostilities.
