Problems at Ukrainian enterprises can not be the reason for the increase in wage arrears, hence it is unacceptable to pass them on to the employees, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during the Government sitting.
The Head of Government expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Justice for creating legal mechanisms of influencing employers who have debts. So, the registry of debtors has been launched, and a big explanatory campaign took place to protect the interests of workers.
"The employees should never bear the burden of problems of enterprises. There will be imposed strict requirements on employers who fail to pay their employees", stressed Volodymyr Groysman. "We are developing orders for the heads of the RSA (regional state administrations) to intensify work with unscrupulous employers».
According to the data of the Ministry of Justice, currently the dynamics of wage payment has increased by more than 70%. Monthly recovery of dues makes up UAH 73 million - a record showing for Ukraine.
"We have chosen the right approach. Our actions will be tough. We will block everything for such unscrupulous heads. The situation will be fully public. The personal responsibility of RSA heads will be strengthened", said Volodymyr Groysman. "I draw attention to the fact that the majority of debtor enterprises are state-run companies. Therefore, our policy of leveraging of investment and incorporating technology for such enterprises will bring prosperity to the workers, but not to the directors who mess around there. "
