Congratulation by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on the Independence Day of Ukraine
Fellow compatriots!
On behalf of the Government and me personally, I congratulate you on the Independence Day of Ukraine!
Ukrainian people amid all the hardships faced during the twentieth century were able to withstand and gain desirable independence in 1991. But the path of independence turned to be tough - Ukraine is undergoing a process of complicated transformations.
It is no secret that Ukrainian society has been tired of watching government mimic policy for decades. Ukrainians made their choice in favor of development rather than imitation back in 2014, when they realized the key strategic priorities of national success, namely, political and economic freedoms, drastic internal reforms and the irreversibility of Euro-Atlantic integration. Guided by these priorities the Government has worked to introduce significant changes in literally every sphere of public and state life. It is of unparalleled importance to further continue these changes.
Time will put everything in its place what was wrong and what was right. But today it is obvious that over recent years there have been more changes in Ukraine than in all decades of independence.
Therefore, I call on all political forces, civil society and citizens to continue working to make our country stronger! I express gratitude to everyone who was involved in transformations that we managed to achieve! I believe that together we will succeed!
Sincerely
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr GROYSMAN
