During a working trip to Chernihiv region on October 22, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal inspected a preschool educational institution that had been restored after the shelling. The Head of Government also visited the hospital and the center for social and psychological rehabilitation of children, where repair work is currently ongoing.
"The Government has allocated more than UAH 635 million for the reconstruction of infrastructure facilities in the Chernihiv region. According to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, work on 124 facilities has already been completed," the Prime Minister said.
During the working trip, the Head of the Government also met with volunteers and presented them with awards for their significant personal contribution to the livelihood of the region.
"Chernihiv region was one of the first to bear the blow of the russian aggressor. In the conditions of constant artillery and rocket fire, many residents of the region joined the volunteer movement. They delivered food, medicine, water, and provided evacuation. The enemy did not expect that Ukrainians would be so united," Denys Shmyhal stressed and thanked the volunteers for their courage and kindness.
