The approval of the draft State Budget for 2019 on November 22, which was prepared by the Government, will enable to ensure the completion of the current year and to start a new year  with the preservation of financing of all priority programs. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the Government sitting. Today, the Cabinet meeting began with a minute of silence for the victims killed during the Revolution of Dignity.

Addressing the attendees, the Head of Government stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers  by its decisions solves systemic problems that have been accumulated for years. "We have deep problems, but the changes being introduced will lead us to a new quality of life for our citizens,"Volodymyr Groysman noted.

The Prime Minister outlined road construction as one of areas in which fundamental transformations are being carried out. Thus, the level of implementation of work planned for this year has reached almost 100%, and the main areas of work for the next year are being laid.

Moreover, further changes will be continued in the education, health care and other sectors.

"In 2019, we must focus on maintaining stability. In this regard, the timely adoption of the budget is of unparalleled importance in order to ensure stability, economic growth and  introduction of positive changes. This is a balanced budget. We have found mechanisms for solving systemic problems. I want to appeal to lawmakers, we have many times demonstrated that in synergy we can make important decisions. And the adoption of the budget on November 22 provides the opportunity to complete 2018 and enter in 2019, and to move the country forward," the Prime Minister stated.
