The growth in the economy provides more opportunities for the Government to maintain the welfare of people, restore industry and service debt, that poses a huge burden on the state budget. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine agency.

"The higher economic growth is, the more opportunities it offers," the Head of Government said. "We need to ensure our economy grow faster, we need investment, so that we could get more revenues to fill the budget."

Meanwhile, he stressed that under current circumstances debt management without external support would be extremely difficult.

"I want to stress that with those politicians who say that this (debt) is not a problem it is a risky business to deal, as they lack the statist view and they can steer the country into the economic collapse. Therefore, whether we like it or not, we need to cooperate (with international organizations)," said Volodymyr Groysman.
