The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision to allocate an additional sum worth UAH 500 million to cover financial losses at state-run mines, and thus to ensure the possibility of paying salaries to miners, as well as a decision to allot funds to provide patients with insulin. The decision was introduced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

According to him, the decision on the financing of mines will allow to keep the situation with payment of salaries to miners under control.

"We make a decision to allocate UAH 500 million to cover losses of mines in public ownership. There needs to be launched a profound reform that the Ministry of Energy and the Coal Industry should offer", said Volodymyr Groysman. "Another decision we adopt is to provide with insulin. This is also a challenging sphere, but we have embarked on establishing order in that."
