The support of the state budget of Ukraine for the next year, as well as the implementation of joint programs in the field of energy, transport and medicine were addressed during a meeting in Kyiv by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Anna Bjerde.

"We highly appreciate the assistance of the World Bank and your personal involvement in supporting Ukraine. It helps us to move towards our common victory," the Head of the Ukrainian Government stressed.

The parties also touched upon the rehabilitation and modernization of Ukraine. Denys Shmyhal thanked the World Bank for launching the Rapid Damage and Recovery Needs Assessment (RDNA) report and expressed hope that another assessment would be conducted at the end of the year.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine also stressed the need to introduce a mechanism of war risk insurance. According to him, it will contribute to the opening of business and attraction of investments in our country right now.
