
Prime Minister of Ukraine met with Prime Minister of Belgium
The European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, the use of frozen russian assets for future recovery and the condemnation of russia's crimes were discussed during a meeting in Kyiv by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander de Croo.
The Head of the Ukrainian Government stressed Ukraine's determination to fulfill seven recommendations of the European Commission regarding the candidate status by the end of the year in order to proceed to the process of negotiations on EU membership. Denys Shmyhal also expressed confidence that Ukraine would definitely join NATO. He thanked Belgium for signing the declaration of support for Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO.
Denys Shmyhal also conveyed gratitude to Belgium for joining the initiative of the President of Ukraine Grain from Ukraine, which aims to provide agricultural products to the countries threatened by hunger.
Alexander de Croo, in his turn, assured that Belgium would help Ukraine with equipment and demining. It will also advocate for the demilitarization of Zaporizhzhya NPP and the establishment of a Special International Tribunal to bring to justice the political leadership of russia.
