On the sidelines of the third Diia Summit in Kyiv, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed cooperation in the field of digitalization with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic Veronika Remišová.
Denys Shmyhal stressed that Ukraine was entering the list of world leaders in the digital sphere and was interested in new areas of cooperation with Slovakia in this sector. Thus, during the meeting the parties tackled the launch of cooperation in the field of cryptographic technologies in information security.
"Our scientists are eager to cooperate in cryptographic technologies, as we are paying a lot of attention to cybersecurity nowadays. We have established Ukraine's first National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity, and we counter cyber attacks on Ukraine's digital infrastructure on a daily basis. Therefore, we are interested in further collaboration in this direction," emphasized the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Denys Shmyhal and Veronika Remišová also discussed the development of cross-border cooperation in the field of digitalization of public services in the regions. According to the Head of the Ukrainian Government, Ukraine and Slovakia could jointly implement such projects to improve access of the citizens to public and social services.
In addition, the parties touched upon the exchange of students to study experience in digital technologies sector.
