  • Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan tackle ways to increase trade turnover between countries

    On Friday, June 18,  Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov.

    The sides discussed pertinent issues of bilateral cooperation and intensification of trade and economic relations, taking into account the results of the 14th Meeting of the Joint Interstate Ukrainian-Kazakhstani Commission on Economic Cooperation, which took place on the same day.

    "Ukraine is keen on developing cooperation with Kazakhstan, which is an important partner for us in the Central Asian region. Our countries have a good potential to increase trade. I am convinced that close cooperation between our governments will contribute to the further growth of economic indicators of both countries," Denys Shmyhal underscored.

    For his part, Bakhyt Sultanov noted that Ukraine is one of the leaders in the field of agriculture and IT, so Kazakhstan is interested in developing cooperation in these areas.
