Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired an online meeting March 30 on mechanisms to ensure that Ukrainian citizens can travel freely to other countries during the pandemic.
"We are actively watching what actions European countries are taking in this direction. We study what data they collect and how they use it to trigger a new development of tourism and more. We will then use this learned experience in Ukraine in the appropriate format so that citizens, despite the pandemic, can travel freely and safely around the world," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
The meeting gathered together Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, Deputy Minister of Health - Chief State Sanitary Doctor Viktor Liashko.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister commissioned Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to discuss and analyze with international partners all the details of cooperation in this matter.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine is technically prepared to join such work and take an active part in developing and testing such mechanisms.
In addition, the meeting’s participants discussed issues of applying for vaccination and joining a COVID-19 vaccination waiting list.
