
Prime Minister: Tranquility of Ukrainians is the main guarantee of macroeconomic stability of our country
Ukraine has all the tools to feel confident and fulfill all state obligations, despite Russia’s military escalation. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stressed on the air of the Svoboda Slova (Freedom of Speech - ed.) program on ICTV channel.
The Head of Government accentuated that the National Bank of Ukraine was taking the necessary measures to stabilize and manage the foreign exchange market. According to him, tranquility of Ukrainians is the main guarantee of macroeconomic stability of our state.
"We have compensatory mechanisms that we use to the full, such as IMF loans, EUR 1.2 billion of macro-financial assistance from the European Union. Following the talks between the presidents, the U.S. Treasury also decided to provide state guarantees to Ukraine so that we would feel more confident in foreign markets in terms of long and cheap money," told Denys Shmyhal.
In addition, according to the Prime Minister, the state budget was overfulfilled in January this year, and overfulfillment is expected in February as well.
