  • Prime Minister holds a meeting with representatives of big businesses

    Upon an initiative of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal a meeting between the Government members,  representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the leadership of the National Bank of Ukraine and Ukrainian businesses is being held at the Club of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The meeting participants tackle the development of the National Economic Strategy of Ukraine, which is designed for the next 10 years. The meeting is attended by CEOs and top managers of more than 50 companies.

    The Prime Minister kicked off the meeting by thanking the business people who have made a significant contribution and have helped and continue to help in the fight against the pandemic.

    The Head of Government outlined in depth the goal of today’s meeting. According to the PM, Ukraine is well placed to become one of the leading highly developed European countries. To do this, the country needs a consistent state policy and systemic reforms, which should not be halted despite changes in the state. All this should become the blueprint for the "National Economic Strategy 2030".

    "If we look 10 years ahead, the strategic directions of public policy should be the implementation of best European practices related to improving safety standards, doing business and quality of life. We are on the path to Europe and are actively working with the European Union to update the  EU-Ukraine Association Agreement", Denys Shmyhal underscored.

    In the course of the meeting 7 vectors of Ukraine's development were presented, which will become the basis for strategy shaping: industry, agricultural sector, mining, transport corridors, IT and R&D, infrastructure, energy sector.
