    Today, September 12, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk met with a delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led by Vice President Alain Pilloux.

    “I am pleased to welcome our reliable partners in Kyiv. The fact is that the EBRD remains the largest institutional investor in Ukraine - the Bank has accumulated over € 13.5 billion in the development of our country during the years of independence”, the Prime Minister said.

    According to him, the principal objective of cooperation now is to increase the volume of crediting through the implementation of large-scale projects on modernization of the energy sector, transport and urban infrastructure, banking sector.

    "There is a clear understanding that, due to the synergy in cooperation with the EBRD leadership, this year can be a record year for the Bank of Ukraine with a total investment of more than 1 billion euros", concluded Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.

    It should be noted that as of September 2019, the total amount of EBRD funding disbursed to Ukraine for Ukraine’s public sector projects and municipal projects makes up about EUR 13.57 billion under 433 projects.
