During a meeting on June 9, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed Ukraine’s comprehensive support in countering the russian invasion, the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and the implementation of reforms with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Ukraine Bridget Brink.

Denys Shmyhal congratulated Bridget Brink on her appointment and expressed confidence in the development of fruitful cooperation with both the United States Embassy and the United States Government. The Prime Minister stressed that since the first day of russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the United States has provided enormous support to our country.

"Before the full-fledged war, we achieved tangible results in implementing reforms. After the war, I am convinced that we will have active cooperation in the reconstruction and reconstruction of our country. We are currently working on a plan under the United24 initiative. We intend to create an even better Ukraine. It is not easy to restore bricks and concrete, but to rebuild the country according to European standards. We hope that the United States will join this process, " the Prime Minister said.

The Head of Government dwelled on the success of Ukraine in implementing many reforms, including digitalization, which minimizes the human factor and corruption risks in the field of public services, as well as reforms in the energy sector. Thus, this year the Ukrainian energy system has joined the European network ENTSO-E and is already exporting electricity to Moldova and Poland.

Moreover, Denys Shmyhal  and Bridget Brink also discussed Ukraine's defense support. The Prime Minister thanked the United States for providing weapons and equipment and stressed that our country needs more weapons to liberate its territories.
