The number of new COVID-19 cases and the number of hospitalizations continue to decline, and vaccination issues are gaining momentum weekly. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a regular Government sitting on June 23.

The Head of Government noted that the mass vaccination centers opening in cities across the country play a positive role in improving the epidemic situation.

"I instruct the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development to take measures to ensure that such centers appear in at least every district center. As there are regions where more than ten such centers are opened, and there are 6 regions where mass vaccination centers have not yet appeared," the PM said.

Denys Shmyhal also stressed that the vaccination of companies with more than 50 employees willing to get vaccinated will start this week. According to the PM, this will help reduce the transmission of the virus among staff and promote safe work.

"Therefore, I urge the chairpersons of enterprises to take this opportunity and protect themselves and their employees," the Prime Minister underscored.

Denys Shmyhal added that the Ministry of Health is constantly increasing the number of vaccination teams and preparing new formats so that as many Ukrainians as possible can get vaccines.
