
Prime Minister commissioned the Ministry of Energy to monitor the situation regarding the explosion at the gas distribution station in Kharkiv region
On October 28, during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov reported on the situation at the gas distribution station in the village of Berezivske, Dergachiv district, Kharkiv region.
According to the Minister, at 11:35 an explosion occurred at the mentioned gas distribution station, followed by burning and partial destruction. The blast killed two people and injured eight others. At 13:30 the fire was extinguished. 30 personnel and 7 units of machinery from the State Emergency Service were involved in the elimination of the consequences. Representatives of the National Police are also working at the scene. The circumstances of the fire are being investigated.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the blast and gave a commission to the Ministry of Energy to monitor the situation with the restoration of infrastructure, and the SES to report to the public on the elimination of the aftermath of the incident.
