On commission of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the state will pay UAH 8,000 to each individual entrepreneur and employee of enterprises that will suffer as a result of the quarantine restrictions imposed in the red zones. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during his introductory speech at a meeting of the Government March 24.

The Head of Government noted that due to the increase in the number of confirmed cases in Ukraine, more and more regions are falling into the red level of epidemic danger.

"We understand that the stricter quarantine restrictions in these regions significantly limit the activities of some areas and enterprises. Therefore, cash payments and support will be introduced similar to those people received in the winter," said Denys Shmyhal.

The PM added that a complex of measures to support people and business had been developed to be implemented in synergy with local governments.

"We expect from local governments for these people additional support to the funds that will be paid by the state. It will be appropriate and responsible," summed up the Prime Minister.
