Prime Minister took part in the opening of the first summit of the European Political Community

On October 6, the first summit of the European Political Community, initiated by President of France Emmanuel Macron, was opened in Prague, the Czech Republic. Ukraine is represented at the event by a Ukrainian delegation led by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the participants of the event online.

The Head of the Ukrainian Government noted, the purpose of the European Union is to unite European leaders in order to strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of Europe: "It is natural that all these factors are impossible without Ukraine."

Denys Shmyhal thanked Emmanuel Macron for the initiative to establish such a platform, and Prime Minister Petr Fiala and the Government of the Czech Republic for including Ukraine in the discussion on urgent issues. In total, the leaders of 44 countries are participating in the summit of the European Political Community.
